Territorial Osmosis

A fluid geography of drawings from the Frequencies archive.

About the project

Territorial Osmosis is an eight-minute video animation by Oscar Murillo, developed with Studio Friendred. A selection of drawings from the Frequencies archive was digitised and used to train a generative model, creating images in which marks from different countries merge and transform.

I contributed to the digital reinterpretation of the selected drawings, the development of their visual language and their translation into moving image. The work connects local gestures within a continuous animated landscape, moving between distinct forms without fixed borders.

The 2025 artwork was presented as part of Collective Osmosis at DAS MINSK Kunsthaus in Potsdam, from 14 March to 9 August 2026.
