Oscar Murillo — Anterior Chambers
Archival drawings translated into moving image for Oscar Murillo’s Kyoto exhibition.
About the project
For Oscar Murillo’s Anterior Chambers exhibition in Kyoto, I contributed to the digital reinterpretation and moving-image development of archival drawings, working with Studio Friendred.
The project draws on Murillo’s Frequencies archive: canvases developed with schoolchildren around the world. Physical marks and gestures become the starting point for an animated visual language, connecting the original drawings with a digital presentation.
My work supported the development of that visual language and its transformation into animation. The exhibition was presented at Taka Ishii Gallery Kyoto from 21 March to 26 April 2025.
